Nekrotronic 2018 – Movie Review:

The most important thing one should know about this film is: “Nekrotonic” is a truly guilty pleasure for anyone who’s into gunfirghts, gore and flat jokes. Now, let’s elaborate this by numbers. This is a second work of Kiah Roache-Turner (“Wyrmwood”), and most of his style also appears here. That means – lots of action, decent amount of blood and guts, comic-style characters, and cheesy dialogues. The good news is all of this works good in this kind of movie. The basic concept (Nekromancers vs. Demons) looks like “Ghostbusters”, but with an R-rating. There’s also references to horror classics (such as “Hellraiser” and “Exorcist”), but not much.


Nekrotronic 2018 – Storyline :

Horror-action-comedy hash “Nekrotronic” has mankind menaced by soul-sucking demons who’ve invaded the internet. A little bit “Tron” meets “Blade,” with a whole lot of other stuff thrown in, this cartoonish Aussie fanboy missive from the brothers Roache-Turner mashes together high energy, lowbrow humor, and a barrage of visual effects to enjoyable but rather numbing effect. Villainness Monica Bellucci may give a lift in some offshore quarters to a hybrid genre exercise whose lack of other star wattage — and excess of every other shiny or explosive thing — suggests target-audience access will be primarily via home formats.

Alien Invasion 2018 Dubbed In Hindi Movie Review : I get the concept this film was going for but it’s just too rough around the edges to be enjoyable. The two main actors actually did a reasonably good job, which is impressive considering what a poor foundation they were given to build on. The music was good in some areas too, however, the sound effects and CGI killed any real sense of immersion.
The writer/director should’ve pitched this concept to someone more capable of bringing it to life. He doesn’t seem to know how to build dramatic tension or create empathy for the characters, both of which are rather necessary for a horror film. If I don’t care about the characters and I’m not afraid for them, what’s the point? And while there are a few interesting ideas present, they are heavily diluted by bland filler.

Doctor Sleep (Movie) Hindi : I enjoyed it for the most part, I found parts of it underwhelming. I feel in this film adaptation, Flanagan takes elements from the novel and manages to make them more darker and serious which in turn really helped address some issues I had with the book. He does make some serious changes though and while I embraced them I’m not sure how others who read the book will feel about them. “The Shining” (1980) to me and I’m sure a lot of you, is a masterpiece in filmmaking.

The limitations of filming in the UK and yet setting the story in the US are cleverly worked out in advance so that it is very believable what is seen on the screen. There are some inventive solutions to difficulties in attempting some of the horror moment and the story itself is captivating enough that you don’t need to have seen the prequel – just accept that there is a clown called Cleaver and he happens to kill people…
